FAQs

What’s the minimum number of guests to qualify for group rates?
Typically, you need to have 8 or more golfers to qualify for our basic group rates. If you’re trying to do something for a bachelor’s party, a small tournament, or just an outing for a group of friends, we’d be happy to give you a better price for bringing them to our course! The basic group rates usually only apply to weekend 18-hole rounds. We already some some really cheap weekday specials!

What is the maximum number of golfers we could have in an event?
That’s really up to you. We have ~70 golf carts available, so without bringing in additional carts, we can accomodate approximately 140 golfers. If you have more than 140 golfers in your event, we can rent additional carts. Keep in mind though that a full-course shotgun is 144 golfers, which ends up being a 5 to 5.5 hour round. Anything larger than that ends up being a 6+ hour round, which most people don’t enjoy!

What’s the minimum number to be able to do a shotgun start?
Weekdays - 60+
Weekends - 100+

If you don’t meet the minimum number for a shotgun start, you still can do tee-time starts!

What’s the minimum number to get the course shut down to the public?
If you want the course shut down to the public, then you need at least 100 golfers. If you don’t meet that minimum, then the course will be open to the public for whatever tee-times remain open during your event. If you’re doing a shotgun start, groups will be doubled up on some holes, to accomodate at least a few public tee-times to be fit in.

The reasoning behind this is that the golf course would actually lose money in most cases, shutting down to the public 5+ hours, just for 60 people (an example number). On a busy day where we are open for public golf, we could sell up to 140 tee-times during that span of time!

Can we do a 9-hole event?
Yes, but only as tee-time starts—no shotguns. And if you want to do it on a weekend, it must be after 1pm.

Can we get two bev carts?
Assuming we have multiple staff available on the day and time of your event, then yes, of course! We have the best beer angels in MN, and they love to work during tournaments!

What’s the usual setup protocol for shotgun events?

  • We agree on a day, time, and estimate for number of golfers

  • You choose a tournament package, and specify a payment method (paying on-site, invoiced afterward, etc)

  • You get your golfers registered / paid ahead of time

  • You furnish us with a team roster at least two days prior to the event date, if you want us to create tournament cart signs and scorecards

  • Two hours prior to the event start time, we stage carts in the grass next to our practice green, with tournament cart signs and scorecards if requested

  • We assist you with any other setup needs prior to the start of the event: sponsor signs, flag events, setting up tents, etc

  • We assist you with starting the event: using our PA system + directing players to their starting hole

  • We assist with scoring, if you need us to do anything for you (most events do it on their own)

  • We assist with take-down, including grabbing the flag events off the course, bringing in sponsor signs, etc
